There are four swims around the 4 acre lake and the lake is best suited for up to 3 anglers (4 at a push). Two of the swims are quite close on the far bank so very social if that is the way you wish to fish. The banks themselves are a mixture of open grass areas and tree lined.
The lake is spring-fed and 6-8 feet in depth all over, the lake contours are relatively uniform and fish can be caught from all over.
Carp are landed from the platforms as the depth falls quickly from the edge of the lake.
There are small area of lily beds which provide features to fish.
Crayfish are present but do not cause anglers any major issues, and no poisson chat.
Bait boats are allowed.
Les Landes was stocked with 120 carp between 18-25lb. Since 2018 we have had an ongoing stocking program. In March 2020 a further 15 carp between 35-62lb were then added. In December 2021, an additional 16 carp were stocked ranging from 22lb-50lb 9oz.
This brings the total carp stocked to around 151. Generally you can expect a large number of fish ranging from mid 20's to over 50lbs. There are a large head of 30 and 40lb carp so, the chance of a new PB is still very real indeed.
In terms of other species there are a couple of sturgeon, plus koi, black bass and zander.
